Migration Resource Center Fundraising Success!

Fundraiser a Success

Migration Resource Center’s (MRC) second annual “Love in Action” fundraising dinner on February 8th, was a great success. It achieved three goals; to:

  • gain support from the business community
  • raise funds for our mission of providing affordable legal services to immigrants
  • increase Migration Resource Center visibility among the communities in Staten Island, Phoenix, and beyond.

Proceeds and support from this fundraiser will help continue the work MRC started in October 2015.  It will provide even more low-income people access to representation in immigration court and affirmative action for Citizenship and Immigration Services. The businesses and individuals who support Migration Resource Center are vital. They help us advocate for women who are victims of domestic violence.  Or enable us to keep families together whenever legal status issues might separate them.

Thank You!

We thank all the sponsors that made this event happen! They know that immigrants have a significant role in the US economy. Immigrants are also a bridge bringing us different cultures, ideas, and innovation from all over the world.

A special thanks to Arlene Sorkin and IlluminArt Productions for presenting a “A Nation of Immigrants,” led by Randy Topper. It was an outstanding performance and a beautiful gem crowning our event.

We Are Love in Action!

Migration Resource Center and its staff are proud of the work we do; helping people exercise their right to due process in immigration law. Every day, we engage with real people, true stories, powerful emotions, and genuine tears. It’s not just a motto…it’s the way we live: Love in Action.
